Senior Daze

The photo I am posting is not of my daughter, but one of her good friends. I like this one, taken in a fleeting moment and processed to emphasize a lesser seen, quiet, and wistful side of a young girl growing into a young woman; about to head out into a hopeful but uncertain future.

Been awhile since I have posted anything, sorry for the absence! I have been swallowed up by the process of my oldest daughter finishing her senior year, and making plans for her future. Those plans included the angst ridden process of applying to, and then deciding which college to attend – all while finishing up a hectic senior year, studying for AP exams, buying the perfect prom dress, fighting with parents and contemplating leaving home soon. Too soon, but not soon enough.

The photo I am posting is not of my daughter, but one of her good friends. This is a friend who is gregarious and bubbly to an extreme; always funny and animated. I have some photos that reflect that most often seen side of her, and I passed them along to her family. Me? I like this one, taken in a fleeting moment and processed to emphasize a lesser seen, quiet, and wistful side of a young girl growing into a young woman; about to head out into a hopeful but uncertain future.
