Not going to write much. Was lucky enough to recently be back in Sitka AK, and out in the Tongass Rainforest. This time I was able to get to a new spot (new for me) called Salmon Lake. The intrepid Esther from Sitka Concervation Society was my companion on this short but wonderful adventure, and although we got wetter than wet – which is so wet that your smart wool socks do not dry out even when hung on a wood stove over night, we had a great time! We caught a fish for out dinner, we were not eaten by bears, and I was lucky enough to get a couple of nice photos along the way. Stay tuned for tips on rain, shower caps, and soggy lens cloths…..
Maybe next year you will be able to come along with Crossroads/Santa Fe Workshops when we return to Sitka to partner up once again with SCS. If you are interested let me know. It is well worth the effort.
Gotta go dry some socks….
