Sitka Alaska – Stay tuned….. AUG 2016

Join me and my collaborator David Middleton for a one of a kind workshop experience this summer. We will be teaching a Crossroads Workshop in Sitka Alaska  in alliance with Santa Fe Workshops.  It is a really exciting idea – we will be teaching you how to shoot like a pro on assignment. We will teaching you how to shoot with a purpose, how to tell an entire story in images, how to create and execute a shot list, and the skills of efficient editing –  all while supporting two wonderful non-profit organizations; The Sitka Concervation Society and the Alaska Raptor Center.

What I can tell you about Sitka, Alaska is that it is a truly magical place. Really. If you have never left the lower forty-eight and have always wanted to experience the incredible beauty of Alaska this is the best place to start. We will be wandering salmon streams during the spawn of the “humpies”, hiking in the rain forest, out on the water in a private small boat, as well as haunting working harbors and learning about the native people who have lived in this region for many centuries.

This will be a very small workshop with a high instructor to participant ratio. If you are interested in joining us for this adventure, let me know right away or go over to the Sante Fe Workshops website and sign up speedy quick. As of April about half of the spots are already taken.  This is not a workshop suitable for beginners. You will need to have mastered the functions of your camera, understand exposure, and feel comfortable working semi- independently. We will be teaching you, but we will  not be offering instruction in the basics of photography. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me.
